Where Every Learner Thrives

Honesty · Integrity · Respect

About Us

You’re in the right place.

If school hasn’t worked for your child yet, that doesn’t mean learning can’t. At Riverside Virtual College, we understand that neurodivergent minds need more than adaptation — they need affirmation.

We build learning around relationship, not compliance. Around presence, not performance. Our specialist team delivers personalised, trauma-informed education for young people aged 14–19 with SEND, from the safety and comfort of home.

We work in partnership with Local Authorities, parents and young people to create provision that genuinely fits — because no two learners are alike.

How We’re Different

🧠

Inclusive & Affirming

We don’t see autism, ADHD, or anxiety as deficits to fix. We design learning around how neurodivergent minds actually work — with flexibility, sensory awareness, and respect for difference.

🤝

Trauma-Informed Practice

For many of our students, school has been a site of harm. We rebuild trust through predictability, choice, and genuine care. Safety isn’t an add-on — it’s our foundation.

👤

Truly Personalised

Not “adapted mainstream” but genuinely built around each learner. Your child’s interests, strengths, pace, and goals shape everything — from curriculum to communication.

🏠

Home-Based, Not Isolated

Learning from home, but not alone. Regular live sessions, small group work, and connection with peers who understand what it’s like to be different.

What we offer

A curriculum like no other

At Riverside Virtual College (RVC) we work to provide our students with a unique hybrid learning experience that will enable them to access a flexible and autonomous virtual education as well as providing them with a range of opportunities to access weekly ‘in-person’ learning.

Although we are a specialised virtual learning environment, we do understand the educational importance and social advantages of a school/college based environment. Consequently, our programmes are geared towards the individual student’s reintegration into mainstream provision at a point in time where they have developed the social, emotional and educational skills to cope with such a transition.
