About our curriculum
Riverside Virtual College (RVC) offers a neurodivergent-affirming curriculum for young people aged 14–19 with SEND. We provide academic, vocational and personal development pathways, all delivered online via Google Classroom with small class sizes and a trauma-informed approach.
All qualifications are accredited through Pearson (Edexcel), including iGCSEs — chosen because they are broader, more accessible for SEND learners, and fully recognised by universities and colleges across the UK.
Our Curriculum Pathways
We offer two clearly structured pathways — one for learners aged 14–16, and a broader vocational and academic offer for post-16 students. All qualifications are delivered through Pearson (Edexcel), including iGCSEs designed to be more accessible for SEND learners.

Small Class Sizes
Classes capped at 10 students. In practice, most lessons run with 5–6 learners for maximum individual attention.
Optional Cameras
Camera use is always optional. We prioritise comfort and engagement over compliance, helping learners build confidence at their own pace.
Recognised Qualifications
All qualifications are delivered through Pearson (Edexcel). iGCSEs are widely recognised by universities and colleges across the UK.
